Why Standard Excavators Struggle Here
Moorooka and the surrounding older suburbs share the same problem you’ll find right across inner Brisbane — narrow side gates on blocks that were never built with machinery access in mind. What’s different about this part of the city is the volume of redevelopment. Duplex splits, granny flats, and knockdown-rebuilds are common across Sunnybank, Salisbury and Coopers Plains, and every one of them starts with earthworks that a full-size excavator often can’t reach without demolishing a fence first.
